Here’s a fact: Anyone with a credit card can stroll into Barneys and emerge looking like Fashion with a capital F. But here’s another one: Very few people—credit cards or not—can be considered women of genuine style.

Yes, draping yourself in the coolest labels and piling on “It” items might give you a boost of instant sartorial gratification, but in six months those pieces will be obsolete, you’ll be out a month’s rent, and you’ll feel compelled to keep up with the cycle of buying the next round of coveted pieces. Exhausting! Still, so many women seem to be falling victim to that exact cycle.

Blame it on today’s street style-obsessed world, but all we have to do today is take a quick peek at Pinterest, give Instagram a quick scroll, or visit any one of the gazillion personal style blogs that exist, and we’ll be inundated with up-to-the-minute images of Céline, Proenza Schouler, Givenchy, Chanel, and other top-level labels, which can often create a bit of FOMO. And that, in turn, can result in scores of young women looking, well, exactly like everyone else and going broke in the process.

Then, however, there are those images you’ll see on blogs or street style sites of women who look so amazingly chic, cool, or interesting who aren’t covered in head-to-toe labels, but rather know how to take nondescript pieces and style them in such a way that their whole look is completely enviable and covetable.

These, friends, are the truly stylish women from whom we should aim to take our fashion inspiration. To that end, we’ve compiled the 7 habits of highly stylish people to get you started.

  1. They don’t surf street style blogs and copy exactly what they see, label for label.

In this day and age, street style photos are a bona fide source of fashion inspiration. In fact, we spend a pretty hefty portion of our day stalking Pinterest and culling various galleries to offer our readers (and ourselves) great ideas when it comes to seasonal outfits.

However, just because you saw Taylor Tomasi Hill, Miroslava Duma, or Anya Zirhouva draped in Kenzo, Chanel, or Céline—or because you’ll be in New York during Fashion Week and want to get snapped by Phil Oh—isn’t a great reason to go out and splurge on the same stuff.

Don’t forget: Several big street-fashion players, editors, and bloggers get sent designer stuff for free to entice folks like us to go out and buy it. Others are, well, richer than us and it’s their day job to flit around the world in the latest designer clothes, which is fun to admire but not necessarily healthy to emulate.

That’s why truly stylish girls will see a look they’re drawn to and seek out lesser-priced pieces that have the same vibe. Plenty of affordable stores and sites offer items that feature similar aspects to designer pieces.

  1. They aren’t afraid of any store—and can find something almost anywhere.

Legitimately stylish women will troll any—and we mean any—store with zero snob factor, yet they manage to stay true to their aesthetic.

For example, she won’t be afraid to pop into a cheesy-seeming teen store at the mall, but that doesn’t mean she’ll leave with the same things her 12-year-old cousin would. Same goes for fast-fashion haunts like Forever 21, dusty old thrift stores, and off-price havens like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Century 21, which are consistently packed with great stuff at non-sucker prices.

  1. They know how to style themselves according to their own taste.

Isn’t it always the case that the most stylish girls will say “This blouse? It’s from Goodwill, like, 100 years ago” and actually mean it?

Yeah, the blouse itself is probably pretty cool, but it’s really the way she styled it—maybe she tucked into great-fitting jeans, unbuttoned one extra button, rolled up the sleeves, and added a killer pair of statement earrings—that made everyone comment on it.

  1. They always look a littles less “done” than everyone else.

Highly stylish people are often in the habit of always appearing a teeny tiny bit too cool for every scenario they’re in.

This might mean wearing a pair of slip-on sneakers when every other girl is teetering on sky-high heels, wearing a chic skinny pantsuit when every other woman is rocking glittery party dresses, or chopping her hair into a messy bob when everyone else has long beachy waves. Small things that always make them look a little less “done.”

  1. They understand labels don’t make them cooler.

It sounds cliché, but the most stylish women—and men, for that matter—in the world are ones who have confidence, and who know they don’t need the $700 sweatshirt or $2,000 handbag to make themselves appear cool.

These folks can step out in a faded gray tee and jeans and still look like the coolest person in the room all because they have confidence (okay fine, and probably a killer haircut, too.)

  1. They aren’t slaves to fashion.

Some of the most stylish people are able to have fun with fashion and follow trends without looking like a slave. If you don’t like a trend—even if every blogger under the sun is wearing it—don’t buy into it. It’s that simple.

  1. They don’t dress to be considered stylish.

Before blogs, before street style, and before Fashion Week became a three-ring circus that only matters for those who have the most attention-grabbing clothing, young women dressed for themselves, their lifestyle, and what looked good on them.

Believe us: It doesn’t matter if those heels are Alexander Wang—if you can’t walk in them, you won’t be considered stylish. Throw on a pair of comfortable ankle boots with that mini dress, you’ll look much cooler.

THE SHOCKING FAST FASHION REALITY

Child refugees in Turkey making clothes for UK shops - URBAN CLUB Designer Fashion Boutique

An undercover BBC investigation has found that Syrian refugee children have been making clothes for British shoppers. Panorama investigated factories in Turkey and found children had been working on clothes for Marks and Spencer and the online retailer Asos.

Adult refugees were also found working illegally on Zara and Mango jeans. But Panorama found seven Syrians working in one of the British retailer's main factories. The refugees often earned little more than a pound an hour - well below the Turkish minimum wage. They were employed through a middleman who paid them in cash on the street, according to the BBC.

Panorama reporter Darragh MacIntyre spoke to dozens of Syrian workers who felt they were being exploited. He said: "They speak of pitiful wages and terrible working conditions. They know they are being exploited but they know they can do nothing about it."

This is unacceptable and extremely sad! This is MODERN SLAVERY!

Close to 46 million men, women, and children are enslaved across the world, according to a harrowing new report from the Australia-based Walk Free Foundation.

Many of them, the analysis notes, are in fact ensnared providing "the low-cost labor that produces consumer goods for markets in Western Europe, Japan, North America, and Australia."

Walk Free founder and chairman Andrew Forrest puts the onus on corporations to help end modern slavery. "Businesses that don’t actively look for forced labor within their supply chains," he said, "are standing on a burning platform. Business leaders who refuse to look into the realities of their own supply chains are misguided and irresponsible."

So HOW TO SHOP LIKE A FASHION REVOLUTIONARY and help to STOP Garment Workers Exploitation, especially Child Labour! - by Orsola de Castro

  • Buy Less, Choose Wise: Always buy with love.
  • Torture yourself and buy Slow Fashion: waiting for something means you will want it that much more.
  • I buy for me, but at the back of my mind I know that after me, there will be someone else. I try to imagine if the piece I am buying will look right on one of my daughters, their friends, or my friends.
  • Wash carefully: Dry in the fresh air and not the tumble drier, folding instead of crumpling.
  • Know your fabrics: Wool crêpe can be cleaned on the spot by gentle sponging, merino wool doesn’t absorb odours, linen is best rolled rather than folded to avoid creasing.
  • Most clothes love a luxury bath: hang them above a shallow bathtub full of essential oils for a quick refresh to avoid seasonal dry cleaning.
  • Alter and transform: From flared to skinny, maxi to midi, bulky to bodycon, a little hemline or sideseam tweak can make any old thing look brand new and relevant. Most dry cleaners offer basic alteration services, or arm yourself with your new BFF: a seamstress.
  • Let others enjoy what is no longer right for you: Try to donate intelligently: swish, swap, sell, upcycle and update before you give to charity.
  • Don’t boycott: off-set your guilty secret 'prêt-a-jeter’ impulse buy by wearing it all the time and treat it like it cost a fortune. It may have been cheap to you, but once you add to it it’s real cost, you will see that cheap, in fashion, doesn’t exist.

The word "Fashion" means a lot more than just the clothes you wear. Fashion is wonderful and is supposed to be enjoyable. It's a fun thing. But it's NOT, if it is at the cost of others life or fairness.

We need to combat the culture that has been urging us to look for products that come with a cheap price, because looking for a cheap price stops us from seeing the actual cost -  to people, to natural resources, and the social and environmental footprint these products carry.

We need to look for better quality, not just in the products we buy, but in the lives of the people who make them.

The Story Behind Bowerhaus - Australian Jewellery Designer Brand

BOWERHAUS Designer Jewellery 1 - URBAN CLUB Designer Fashion Boutique

Sisters Shen-Tel and Elizabeth Lee are based in Borneo but were born and raised in Australia. They named their label Bowerhaus after the Australian Bowerbird. The most notable characteristic of bowerbirds is their unique courtship behavior. The Lee sisters are utterly obsessed with collecting beautiful trinkets from all over the world. One day they decided that it was time to make a mark with their obsession. Their collections are inspired by their father’s vintage coins and their mother’s pearls. The sisters design with materials that they source from all over the globe. Old world charm and understated confidence are the hallmarks of Bowerhaus.

Prestige Malaysia May 2016 featuring Shen-Tel Lee & Elizabeth Lee-Yong

“There are two types of sisters,” Shentel Lee informs me when we sit down to chat, “the sisters that hate each other, fight over everything, parents have to buy two of everything. And there are sisters who are obsessed with each other, like Siamese twins.”

One need not guess which category Shen-Tel and her sister Elizabeth Shenlyn Lee Yong belong to.

“Lizzie and I are basically joined at the hip,” she continues. “I have such fond memories of us doing everything together, from piano lessons to ballet, art school, drama, we have always wanted to be together.”

That was pretty evident from the get-go, when Shen-Tel and Elizabeth took their respective places on set. That bond was obvious; there was singing, there was laughter, there was praise – the kind that you can’t just turn-on for an audience.

The way they get on, an obvious reflection of the happy childhood they had growing up in Sydney, nurtured by their parents, Dr. Lincoln and Dame Betty Lee. They did everything together, both declare, so much so that even when Shen-Tel moved to Malaysia after marrying her high-school sweetheart Bobby Ting, Elizabeth soon followed.

One can only imagine the joy that Shen-Tel must have felt when the younger Lee said yes to Benjamin Yong, making Kuala Lumpur her home.

“I can’t imagine if she was still living in Sydney,’ exclaims Shen-Tel. “Although I am in Kuching and she is in KL, we talk to each other every day and send each other photos. There is always chat going on between the two of us.”

“Unconditional love and then some,” is how Elizabeth describes her relationship with Shen-Tel. “My sisterly bond and love for Shen-Tel is so strong that my husband jokes that if he ever wants me to do something that I don’t want to do, he just needs to ask my sister to tell me and it will be done.“

14 Things Ridiculously Successful People Do Every Day - URBAN CLUB Designer Fashion Boutique

“Whenever you see a successful person, you only see the public glories, never the private sacrifices to reach them.” –Vaibhav Shah

Kevin Kruse has recently interviewed over 200 ultra-successful people, including 7 billionaires, 13 Olympians, and a host of accomplished entrepreneurs. One of his most revealing sources of information came from their answers to a simple open-ended question:

“What is your number one secret to productivity?”

In analyzing their responses, Kruse coded the answers to yield some fascinating suggestions. What follows are some of my favorites from Kevin’s findings.

1. They focus on minutes, not hours.
Most people default to hour and half-hour blocks on their calendar; highly successful people know that there are 1,440 minutes in every day and that there is nothing more valuable than time. Money can be lost and made again, but time spent can never be reclaimed. As legendary Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller told Kevin, “To this day, I keep a schedule that is almost minute by minute.” You must master your minutes to master your life.

2. They focus on only one thing.
Ultra-productive people know what their “Most Important Task” is and work on it for one to two hours each morning, without interruptions. What task will have the biggest impact on reaching your goals? What accomplishment will get you promoted at work? That’s what you should dedicate your mornings to every day.

3. They don’t use to-do lists.
Throw away your to-do list; instead schedule everything on your calendar. It turns out that only 41 percent of items on to-do lists ever get done. All those undone items lead to stress and insomnia because of the Zeigarnik effect, which, in essence, means that uncompleted tasks will stay on your mind until you finish them. Highly productive people put everything on their calendar and then work and live by that calendar.

4. They beat procrastination with time travel.
Your future self can’t be trusted. That’s because we are time inconsistent. We buy veggies today because we think we’ll eat healthy salads all week; then we throw out green rotting mush in the future. Successful people figure out what they can do now to make certain their future selves will do the right thing. Anticipate how you will self-sabotage in the future, and come up with a solution today to defeat your future self.

5. They make it home for dinner.
Kevin first learned this one from Intel’s Andy Grove, who said, “There is always more to be done, more that should be done, always more than can be done.” Highly successful people know what they value in life. Yes, work, but also what else they value. There is no right answer, but for many, these other values include family time, exercise, and giving back. They consciously allocate their 1,440 minutes a day to each area they value (i.e., they put them on their calendar), and then they stick to that schedule.

6. They use a notebook.
Richard Branson has said on more than one occasion that he wouldn’t have been able to build Virgin without a simple notebook, which he takes with him wherever he goes. In one interview, Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis said, “Always carry a notebook. Write everything down... That is a million dollar lesson they don’t teach you in business school!” Ultra-productive people free their minds by writing everything down as the thoughts come to them.

7. They process e-mails only a few times a day.
Ultra-productive people don’t “check” their e-mail throughout the day. They don’t respond to each vibration or ding to see who has intruded into their inbox. Instead, like everything else, they schedule time to process their e-mails quickly and efficiently. For some, that’s only once a day; for others, it’s morning, noon, and night.

8. They avoid meetings at all costs.
When Kevin asked Mark Cuban to give his best productivity advice, he quickly responded, “Never take meetings unless someone is writing a check.” Meetings are notorious time killers. They start late, have the wrong people in them, meander around their topics, and run long. You should get out of meetings whenever you can and hold fewer of them yourself. If you do run a meeting, keep it short and to the point.

9. They say “no” to almost everything.
Billionaire Warren Buffet once said, “The difference between successful people and very successful people is that very successful people say ‘no’ to almost everything.” And James Altucher colorfully gave Kevin this tip: “If something is not a ‘Hell Yeah!’ then it’s a no.” Remember, you only have 1,440 minutes in a day. Don’t give them away easily.

10. They follow the 80/20 rule.
Known as the Pareto Principle, in most cases, 80 percent of results come from only 20 percent of activities. Ultra-productive people know which activities drive the greatest results. Focus on those and ignore the rest.

11. They delegate almost everything.
Ultra-productive people don’t ask, “How can I do this task?” Instead, they ask, “How can this task get done?” They take the I out of it as much as possible. Ultra-productive people don’t have control issues, and they are not micro-managers. In many cases, good enough is, well, good enough.

12. They touch things only once.
How many times have you opened a piece of regular mail -- a bill perhaps -- and then put it down, only to deal with it again later? How often do you read an e-mail and then close it and leave it in your inbox to deal with later? Highly successful people try to “touch it once.” If it takes less than five or ten minutes -- whatever it is -- they deal with it right then and there. It reduces stress, since it won’t be in the back of their minds, and it is more efficient, since they won’t have to re-read or re-evaluate the item again in the future.

13. They practice a consistent morning routine.
Kevin’s single greatest surprise while interviewing over 200 highly successful people was how many of them wanted to share their morning ritual with him. While he heard about a wide variety of habits, most nurtured their bodies in the morning with water, a healthy breakfast, and light exercise, and they nurtured their minds with meditation or prayer, inspirational reading, or journaling.

14. Energy is everything.
You can’t make more minutes in the day, but you can increase your energy to increase your attention, focus, and productivity. Highly successful people don’t skip meals, sleep, or breaks in the pursuit of more, more, more. Instead, they view food as fuel, sleep as recovery, and breaks as opportunities to recharge in order to get even more done.

Bringing It All Together
You might not be an entrepreneur, an Olympian, or a billionaire (or even want to be), but their secrets just might help you to get more done in less time and assist you to stop feeling so overworked and overwhelmed.

Fashion is everywhere, but STYLE is unique. It's what makes the girl who she is. So “What makes her so Beautiful”? What are the secrets? Let's take a look!

1. Be Confident: Whatever you put on, make sure your outfit gives you a confidence boost wherever you go.

We have to admire Louise Thompson's style secret - Confidence! The Award-winning TV Series 'Made In Chelsea' Star chooses N12H to express her style: Unique, Edgy, a true Urban Beauty. Louise wears New Era Sequin Jacket and Parallel Worlds Lace Sweatshirt

2. Try New Things: Experiment with different fashion styles to find the real YOU.

Talented Dancer - Singer - Actress Jordyn Jones from Los Angeles has a totally different idea with same popular N12H Parallel Worlds Lace Sweatshirt. One word - AMAZING!

3. Be Yourself: Your Clothes speak for you before you do. Make sure your outfit announces what you want people to hear. First impression is important. Give the impression you want to give.

Famous JoJo - American Singer, Song Writer and Actress flaunts this amazing Blue Side Split Dress to Hollywood Grammy's After Party in Feb 2016. The Dress and her expression say it all.

4. Accentuate your best features: It’s about the fit and what makes you feel comfortable. You decide what curves to show and when. Accentuating your best features also goes hand in hand with colour balance. Yes the art of colours! Paint your own style picture!

Hong Kong Actress - Singer Super Star Charlene Choi flaunts Fly Away Lace Trim Top and Skirt showcasing her elegance and feminine style. Absolutely Stunning!

5. The Rule is: there's NO Rules: Who cares what people say! Everybody has their own set of rules which may not be applicable to others. You make the rules for your own style.

For stylish fashion Blogger Mellow Mayo, she expresses her "Cat Slave" style in a different and edgy way! Featured in pictures are N12H Fly Away Lace Trim Top, Fly Away Lace Trim Skirt, and Dimension Skirt.

We have to love the way she styles the same Fly Away Lace Trim Skirt with a different top and jacket to create a complete different look. You don't have to own every piece of clothing to be stylish. Just those that can speak for you and make you happy styling them again and again will do. What's more, you can help to save our planet and your bank too!

In conclusion, Fashion is limitless and exciting. You don't have to own all the styles available at all costs (tangible or intangible ... yes, have a think about it). You really don't have to follow the most fashionable bloggers or wear exactly what celebrities wear to enjoy fashion and be beautiful.

Fashion is NOT beautiful if it is made at a cost of the environment, health and safety or even life of garment workers and child labourers. Let us not take Fashion for granted.

Choose what you wear with love and care, find your own secret to create your style. Style can't be copied, exchanged or received. It has to be owned with your Personality and Identity. That’s what makes YOU so Beautiful!

How to be exceptionally likable

Some people instantly light up a room. They make us feel important. They make us feel special. While we can't always define it, we know when someone just has it. The person is naturally likable.

But there's a flip side. Natural likability can also quickly lose its impact, especially when there's no substance beneath the surface glow.

But some people are genuinely likable over the long haul: They build and maintain great relationships, consistently influence (in a good way) the people around them, and consistently make people feel better about themselves.

They're the kind of people we all like to be around and want to be more like.

Fortunately, you can, because being genuinely likable isn't about your level of success or your presentation skills or how you dress or the image you project--it's about what you do.

What do genuinely likable people do?

1. They shift the spotlight to others.

No one receives enough praise. No one. So start by telling people what they did well.

Wait, you say you don't know what they did well? Shame on you--it's your job to know. It's your job to find out ahead of time. Not only will people appreciate your praise, they'll appreciate the fact you care enough to pay attention to what they do.

And then they'll feel a little more accomplished and a lot more important, and they'll love you for making them feel that way.

2. They listen a lot more than they talk.

Ask questions. Maintain eye contact. Smile. Frown. Nod. Respond--not so much verbally, but nonverbally. That's all it takes to show the other person he or she is important.

Then when you do speak, don't offer advice unless you're asked. Listening shows you care a lot more than offering advice does, because when you offer advice, in most cases, you make the conversation about you.

Don't believe me? Who is "Here's what I would do ..." about: you or the other person?

Only speak when you have something important to say--and always defineimportant as what matters to the other person, not to you.

3. They don't practice selective hearing.

Some people--I guarantee you know people like this--are incapable of hearing anything said by someone they feel is somehow beneath them.

Sure, you speak to them, but that particular falling tree doesn't make a sound in the forest, because there's no one actually listening.

Remarkably charismatic people listen closely to everyone, and they make all of us, regardless of our position or social status or "level," feel like we have something in common with them.

Because we do. We're all human.

4. They're thoughtful simply because they want to be.

I pulled into a service bay to get my oil changed. As I got out of the car, one of the techs said, "Man, those are nice wheels. Too bad they're so dirty." He smiled, just teasing.

"I know," I said. "My next stop is the car wash." Then I went inside to wait.

When I walked to my car to leave, the tech was just standing up, filthy rags in his hand. "It took some work, but I got 'em all clean," he said. Every rim sparkled. Every speck of brake dust was gone.

"Wow, that's awesome, but you didn't have to do that," I said.

"We're not very busy," he shrugged. "I had time. Figured I would make 'em look better." Just then a car pulled into another bay so he hustled away, saying over his shoulder, "Have a good day."

That was years ago, but I still haven't forgotten it.

Instead of turning idle time into "me time," likable people use their free time to do something nice--not because they're expected to, but just because they can.

5. They put their stuff away.

Don't check your phone. Don't glance at your monitor. Don't focus on anything else, even for a moment.

You can never connect with others if you're busy connecting with your stuff, too.

Give the gift of your full attention. That's a gift few people give. That gift alone will make others want to be around you and remember you.

6. They give before they receive--and sometimes they never receive.

Never think about what you can get. Focus on what you can provide. Giving is the only way to establish a real connection and relationship.

Focus, even in part and even for a moment, on what you can get out of the other person, and you show that the only person who really matters is you.

7. They don't act self-important ...

The only people who are impressed by your stuffy, pretentious, self-important self are other stuffy, pretentious, self-important people.

The rest of us aren't impressed. We're irritated, put off, and uncomfortable.

And we hate when you walk in the room.

8. ... Because they realize other people are more important.

You already know what you know. You know your opinions. You know your perspectives and points of view.

That stuff isn't important, because it's already yours. You can't learn anything from yourself.

But you don't know what other people know, and everyone, no matter who he or she  is, knows things you don't know.

That makes other people a lot more important than you--because you can learn from them.

9. They choose their words.

The words you use impact the attitude of others.

For example, you don't have to go to a meeting; you get to go meet with other people. You don't have to create a presentation for a new client; you get to share cool stuff with other people. You don't have to go to the gym; you get to work out and improve your health and fitness.

You don't have to interview job candidates; you get to select a great person to join your team.

We all want to associate with happy, enthusiastic, fulfilled people. The words you choose can help other people feel better about themselves--and make you feel better about yourself, too.

10. They don't discuss the failings of others ...

Granted, we all like hearing a little gossip. We all like hearing a little dirt.

The problem is, we don't necessarily like--and we definitely don't respect--the people who dish that dirt.

Don't laugh at other people. When you do, the people around you wonder if you sometimes laugh at them.

11. ... But they readily admit their failings.

Incredibly successful people are often assumed to have charisma simply because they're successful. Their success seems to create a halo effect, almost like a glow.

The key word is seem.

You don't have to be incredibly successful to be remarkably charismatic. Scratch the shiny surface, and many successful people have all the charisma of a rock.

But you do have to be incredibly genuine to be remarkably charismatic.

Be humble. Share your screwups. Admit your mistakes. Be the cautionary tale. And laugh at yourself.

While you should never laugh at other people, you should always laugh at yourself.

People won't laugh at you. People will laugh with you.

They'll like you better for it--and they'll want to be around you a lot more.
